HOW TO KNOW WHICH INQUIRIES TO REMOVE
Objective
To correctly find and remove inquiries from the last 12 months that aren't linked to personal accounts on your credit report, while following the rules from Experian, Equifax, and TransUnion.
- Examine reports that are less than 30 days old
(if older then request updated report on MyScoreIQ)
THINGS TO KNOW:
- You can find inquiries at the bottom of the report
- The only inquiries that matter are within the past 12 months
- Look at dates of inquiries and see which ones are relevant
- ONLY REMOVE INQUIRIES NOT ATTACHED TO PERSONAL ACCOUNTS
- To figure this out:

- Look at BANK/LENDER name and search for it in the list of accounts

- If you do not find it, it is good for removal ✅

- If you do find it, look at the date of inquiry and date of account opening
- If it is within 45 days then do not remove ❌
- If it is not the same then you can remove ✅
- Experian works with the phone strategy
- Equifax and TransUnion require FTC report & letters
