  2. Obtain Your Latest Credit Report

Step 1: Initiate Dispute Process

  1. Dial Experian at: 1-855-414-6048 or 877-870-5640.
  2. Enter your Social Security Number followed by your ZIP Code.
  3. Inform the automated system that your call pertains to "Fraud".
  4. Opt for "Start a Dispute".
  5. Confirm the nature of your call as a dispute.
  6. Choose the "Identity Theft" option (#3).
  7. Express that you believe you've been a victim of identity theft, but steer clear of initiating a fraud alert.

Step 2: Engage with the Fraud Department

  1. Explicitly request to connect with the "Fraud Department". You may need to repeat this request.
  2. Ensure you're speaking with the right department. They should identify as "Special Services".
  3. DO NOT ADD FRAUD ALERT
